After I was done looking at the bags, I made my way to sample Tawny Ong’s mini cupcakes, which were truly fashionably petite! The red velvet and hummingbird cupcakes (made with bananas, pineapples and pecans) were addictive and delectable, and I was sold on the cream cheese icing. The double fudge espresso brownies were so sinful and rich! VIEW

The American Cancer Society’s Asian Initiatives Unit hosted a Young Professionals Gala for Hope at Taj on Feburary 5, 2009. The honorees for the evening were talented clothing designer Zang Toi and June Jee, a director at Verizon. The designer was surrounded by a bevy of pagent darlings like Miss USA and Miss Universe, both of whom were magnificently draped in Zang’s designs. All around the club were product displays of goodies for the silent auction. Heavenly dessert samples were provided by Tawny Ong.VIEW
